Privacy Policy
Effective September 18, 2026
StackClean provides software-spend analysis tools that help businesses identify potential opportunities to reduce software costs. This policy explains the information the StackClean service collects and how it is used.
Information we collect
When you use StackClean, you may provide company-size and industry information, software products and plans, monthly software bills, and answers to validation questions. When you purchase a Complete Savings Plan, our payment provider processes checkout information and may provide us with transaction identifiers, payment status, amount, currency, and customer contact information associated with the transaction.
We may also receive ordinary technical information generated when you use a website, such as browser, device, IP-address, request, error, and security information through our hosting and infrastructure providers.
How we use information
We use information to operate the scan, calculate and present potential savings opportunities, restore or authorize paid access, process and verify purchases, maintain security, troubleshoot problems, improve the service, and comply with applicable legal obligations.
Payments
Card payment details are entered into a hosted checkout provided by our payment processor. StackClean does not intentionally collect or store full payment-card numbers or card security codes on its own website or database.
Local browser storage
StackClean may temporarily store scan information in your browser so the scan can be restored after checkout or while you continue the experience. Clearing browser storage may remove that locally saved information.
Service providers
We use third-party providers for functions such as hosting, source-code infrastructure, database services, and payment processing. Those providers may process information as necessary to provide their services and under their own applicable terms and privacy practices.
Data retention and security
We retain information only as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, business records, security, dispute resolution, and legal obligations. We use reasonable administrative and technical measures designed to protect information, but no internet service can guarantee absolute security.
Your choices
You may choose not to submit a scan or purchase a plan. Businesses may request reasonable assistance regarding personal information associated with their use of StackClean through the contact method published on the StackClean website. We may need to verify a request before acting on it.
Business use
StackClean is designed primarily for business software-spend analysis. If you submit information about other people, you are responsible for having appropriate authority to do so.
Changes
We may update this policy as the service evolves. The effective date above identifies the current version.
